COB HOUSE RENOVATION
Renovation and repairs carried out to a 16th century thatched hall house near Crediton in mid Devon.
There were extensive structural repairs to the cob walls and the roof. The walls were rendered and pointed using lime plaster and finished with lime wash. We made some interesting discoveries when removing the failed render, note the pigeon holes and bee boles cut into the original cob.
